GNG Football Club are delighted to announce details of their inaugural Sports and Community Awards event. This prestigious event offers a platform to showcase, highlight and reward organisations and individuals alike for their outstanding contribution to the community. These awards are unique as they also take cognisance of the role played within the wider equality arena and its impact on achieving social and cultural cohesion. The evening will also mark the 40th anniversary of GNG Football Club who have made a significant contribution to the City of Leicester. The event will seek to raise funds for the future development of the sports club and its new proposed facilities at Aylestone Playing Fields. GNG Football Club are committed to developing a community based remit serving the diverse communities that co-exist within Leicestershire. Our future development proposal includes the following:
* Engaging local communities
* Promote healthy life styles in the local community
* Engaging local communities in a safe and inclusive environment
* Community development out reach programme
* Building closer working relationship with local groups and initiatives
* Working towards becoming an inclusive socially responsible organisation
Over 500 VIP's will attend the event including iconic figures representing an array of disciplines from business to commerce and sport. This special evening will consist of live entertainment, prominent speakers, a glittering awards ceremony and dining of the finest Asian cuisine. 2008 AWARDS |
The second Scottish Minority Ethnic Achievement Awards took place on Friday the 20th of June 2008.
The Crowne Plaza Hotel played host to this prestigious awards ceremony which was a dazzling evening of recognition and celebration. Guests enjoyed a lavish meal as well as spectacular entertainment from PHD, Harshi Madhaparia and Nikitta Angus.
Over 500 high profile guests attended the event from the worlds of business, politics, sports and showbiz.
